ANA & PNG Member, Real Numismatic Credentials

Hunter Hicks is a working numismatist held to the ethical standards of the industry’s two most respected organizations, and trained on the grading standards that determine coin values worldwide.

Proud Member & Active Participant

American Numismatic Association (ANA) member PCGS, Professional Coin Grading Service expertise Fairfax Coin Club member

American Numismatic Association (ANA)

The ANA is the world’s largest numismatic education organization, founded in 1891 and chartered by Congress. Members are bound by a code of ethics that includes fair dealing, accurate representation of coins, and the prohibition of high-pressure sales tactics. As an ANA member, Hunter has access to the ANA library, certification courses, and a national network of vetted dealers.

Professional Numismatists Guild (PNG)

The PNG is the most selective dealer organization in the industry. Membership requires a minimum number of years in business, peer recommendations, financial responsibility, and adherence to a strict code of ethics enforced by a member panel. Working with a PNG dealer means you have third-party recourse if any dispute arises, something the average storefront dealer cannot offer.

PCGS & NGC Grading Literate

The two largest third-party grading services, Professional Coin Grading Service (PCGS) and Numismatic Guaranty Company (NGC), set the standard for what coins are worth. Hunter is fluent in their grading scales, label varieties, and price guides, and can advise which raw coins are candidates for submission.

Coin Show Veteran

Years of attending FUN (Florida United Numismatists), the ANA World’s Fair of Money, Whitman Baltimore, and major regional shows. That presence is how a working dealer stays current with the market and builds a real wholesale network.

Coin Supply & Storage Expertise

Hunter previously worked for one of the largest coin supply companies in the world. That background means he can give you genuinely useful advice on how to store and preserve a collection, not just sell you supplies.

Code of Ethics, Enforced

Both the ANA and PNG enforce their codes of ethics. If a member acts dishonestly, members can be sanctioned or expelled. That accountability is missing from the average coin shop, and it’s the single best reason to choose an ANA/PNG dealer.

Why This Matters

The Difference Credentials Make

Anyone can put up a website and call themselves a "coin dealer." Few are actually members of the organizations that hold dealers accountable.

The DMV has plenty of coin buyers. Only a handful are members of the ANA and PNG.
